Quiet luxury is my style. I don’t wear it for anyone else.

I don’t think that quiet luxury will ever go out of style. You just put together

My high school coat in the 90s was an olive green “barn coat” with brown corduroy collar and flannel lining from Eddie Bauer, one size too big, so to me it just fits in with the 90s resurgence in fashion. Did I live in the country? No, but it was just as practical for an active suburban teen in the Midwest. My daughter is 20 and I so regret not keeping my 90s staples because she would have loved them, but who knew?

I have worn and kept Ralph Lauren for decades! Classics last forever!

It feels to me that the fashion industry is at a loss. They scramble to come up with something new each year, or even every few months but typically fail. This leads them back to trying to go back to past styles over and over.

I’m honestly so bored with “what’s in”. It’s making your everyday woman broke trying to keep up. I think the whole idea of trying to look like you’re from old money is something people need to get over. It’s such a self-defeating way to live, unless they actually do come from old money.

I love that so many styles are in right now although, I tend to wear what I like and don’t follow trends too often. I get compliments on my clothing and style everywhere I go so I’m pretty happy just doing me. I actually feel like I set the trends.

It’s not easy and it’s taken me a long time but I think rather than trying to be “on trend”, we should work on being our authentic selves and getting to the point where we really feel good about who we are and confident in our own body and with our own individual styles that actually work for us.

At almost 60 I have women of all ages, even very young girls, telling me how they love my clothes, my super long hair, or that I’m beautiful. Now, I don’t live for that but, it’s nice to know that you’re reflecting how you feel about yourself or, how at least you WANT to feel.

To be honest, walking around with a beautiful smile does more for a woman than an “on trend” outfit. Seriously. You can literally light up the world with a smile. I do this naturally and people smile back at me all day long wherever I go. It’s an amazing thing. You can’t buy that but it’s worth its weight in gold💖

Hey lady 👋👋!! Sounds like we are about to enter our anything goes era 😂😂 and I am here for it. My sister and I are best friends and dress absolutely nothing alike yet, it sounds like we will still be mostly on trend 😂.. In all seriousness, it seems that personal style is making a comeback and I think that's awesome. We don't need to look like everyone else... It gets monotonous quickly.. I am definitely looking forward to how everyone is styling themselves next year... And honestly, I will do what I've always done when it comes to trends and take the pieces that I'm interested in and add them to my classic wardrobe and leave the rest for everyone else so I can look at it and see how pretty they are... Thank you so much for all your hard work and awesome content!! 2025 is going to be interesting to say the least!!

I adore quiet luxury but I never thought it was really a trend. More a reaction to the logo excesses. However, it’s how I’ve always dressed and always will. Wearing equestrian or tennis clothes when you aren’t at the court or polo field just looks silly.

This stuff is meaningless, where whatever you feel good in and what looks good on you. Everything will go out of style and return again soon, so shop thrift stores and look beautiful unless your a celebrity…

I hope that you are correct and that personal style will rule the day. Given the gazillions of "find your personal style" vids on YouTube, I think you are right. I just hope that people won't pigeon-hole themselves based on what some style quiz tells them. That's hardly personal! (Of course, it helps if your personal style is in sync with your lifestyle. Mine isn't.)

Thanks! I am an emotional dresser. I also hang onto some clothes forever until I part with them. I do add new pieces but only the ones I know I will keep and when I add I have to let go of something else. Nobody has any money so we have pieces altered or we trade among friends. Everyone here follows trends but nobody buys luxury brands. For me the main thing is, does it fit well, is it made well.

I love muted and ambiguous colors that are used in quiet luxury goods and clothings. I may add one bright color item like vest, shoes, or a bag to go with these earth toned and gray hinged colors.

I am still pining for a pair of Adidas Samba.

Barn jackets I find them drab. Boat shoes no way. Tennis skirts? I like my shoulders and hair and I have long legs but I’m not showing them in that way. No thanks. I like the quiet luxury / no logo look. I invested in 5 purses last year from mid priced luxury brands. Not giving those up. Even tho the trends are flopping every two- three years now instead of every 5-10 years doesn’t mean I’m going to overhaul my wardrobe at that pace. I focus on quality over quantity / sillouhette and colors that suit me now that I’m in my 50s and I’ve seen all this come and go😊

I always wonder, WHERE are people wearing these trends? I live in an expensive region where there's a lot of money but I don't see any of these styles. Great video however and there was a lot of good advice too!

I appreciate quality over quantity. I find quiet luxury embodies good taste and self confidence. High low dressing speaks volumes, I do not nor have I gone the logo route.

I still like to dress how I like to dress. Comfy, cotton, casual, jeans, tees/tanks, etc with a sprinkle of a Stevie Nicks vibe.
As a 62 year old woman, I just don’t give a 💩anymore what people think of how I’m dressed.
I’m a herbalist, I’ll dress like one.
Tuned in out of curiosity. Crazy people care so much what other people are doing and want to “fit in” 🤷‍♀️

Love your channel ❤This why I’ve never followed trends. Who wants to look like everyone. Quiet Luxury will never die. What needs to die is LV bags. Those with old money don’t need you to know how much something cost or the name plastered everywhere. I think the secret to every outfit is confidence. If you wear it as if you own it (YOU make it POP!) I went to school for fashion and the cool thing when I was growing up was individuality. We added a few trendy things but it was about standing out from the crowd & creating Art. Now stores rush to have what everyone is carrying. Thrifting is my happy place. The industry tricks you to think oh Green, Burgdy, & Gray are the new it colors. When were they not beautiful colors to wear? I think the Fashion Universe has forgotten or Never cared that the majority of women are 6ft tall. Most of these oversized ridiculous coats, pants, and tops don’t look flattering on my 5’3 frame. Never let the clothes wear YOU! You wear the clothes. I do love the street style of London, France, & Italy. I love the minimalist look, with pops of color, and a dose of WOW & I think that never goes out of style. 😊
