It's that time of year again... I'm setting up a brand new bullet journal for the second half of 2023! I went with a relatively minimalist theme and tried out a brand-new spread... I hope you enjoy!

So the “cat-astastrophe” of the last video came at a good time 🐈 😂

Tip: Leave one edge of your fold out spread unglued so that it’s also a handy pocket 🥰

i use my bullet journal to track stress and pain levels for my doctors, so i have fold out spreads of more detailed scales for both! it’s v useful

I am French and I have seen peau d'âne several times, it is inspired from a French fairytale. It is categorized as a musical with a 60's pop esthetic. I agree that the ending is quite weird. If you liked it you might enjoy the 1946 la Belle et la Bête from Cocteau that has the same whimsical fairytale feel, but less songs and in black and white.

A lot of adhd people say they need all the decorations to keep them using a planner, but I go to the other extreme where mine is just using fancy writing for headers and line thickness of any functional, drawn out grids. The decorations distract me. They are pretty to watch, and I could land in hyper focus so easily doing it. But then nothing gets done except that, and each time I look at it, I get sucked back into the decorations instead of planning.

I was diagnosed about 1 1/2 years ago, and it has explained so many things I have always done. I think I binge watched almost all of How to ADHD's videos after the diagnosis. I am still unmedicated and working through other coping strategies to assist since I react weird to medicine a lot. (I would gladly try meds faster if not for my reactions.) So I wish you good luck in finding what works for you even if it takes some time. It is certainly worth it.

Your videos are always so relaxing to watch. Like productive asmr. The leafy theme is very pretty, I like how clean it looks. My emoji for this year is a calming cup of tea. 🍵 These past few months have been extremely hectic so I hope the latter half of the year calms down.

My word of the year is Fresh. It reminds me to keep my space clean and to eat healthy fruit and vegetables and sets a tone.

This is so cute and functional! I've been a bullet journaler for the past 4 years but recently got into filling it out every day. I only use a monthly overview spread + weekly spreads and have been looking for new things to incorporate. I'll definitely be using the dopamine menu and future log I hope the next 6 months look like the 💝💃 emojis as I try to become more socially outgoing!

I love the simple beauty of the branches and the Kraft paper! Might borrow this idea!

☮ I use a quarterly future log and I've been using your dutch door weekly with a task list and weekly habit tracker on the far right panel that I saw on one of your old videos. It's worked well for me this last year, but I am noticing I'm ready for the next iteration. I don't know if I want to go so far as to cut my pages to create a monthly block like you do (though I love it!). I'm on the lookout something simple and effective that will work for me as my life and planning needs continue to change.

I lost my first bullet journal last week. I’ve been considering getting a new one for the second half before July.
I don’t want to give up on finding my first, but I don’t want to fall behind either.

My blood pressure drops ten points every time I hear you say, "Hello, friends." Your videos are definitely on my dopamenu! 🌼

I want to set up a journal with multiple flip outs, one would have the shift work calendars we use at my facility. Another would have common reference numbers/codes. Another would have our routine check in schedule and key dates.

I currently have them in sections but it would be so much better as a tip in/fold out. Just haven’t quite figured out how to organize that many.

I like your menu. I might add it to the thing I’m trying. “Windows of open or closed” for when I am not getting good with work. Don’t snack if it is 1h around food time.
As I tend to snack 30min before lunch and then I remember I “I should be hungry”
Plus windows when it would be good to do a walk or house work. Not run off to them when I just don’t want to do the work.

For me is very important to keep a "project" page, so I can write down every craf project that I did that year, such as knitting, crochet, sewing, bookbinding. Os good to know when you did what.

Haha I watch bullet journal videos as I'm updating my bullet journal. I have spreads tracking my monthly chores and a symptom tracker for eczema that I also have to make sure to include. Mindfulness is my word for the second half of the year. I love HowToADHD and the dopamine so I may have to borrow that for my setup as well!
