My five week old kitten I got from the shelter does this... and his claws are REALLY sharp. He hasn’t cut me but why does it hurt so much.... it’s soothing in a weird way but it hurts too?... is that just me

My cat doesn't do that and I was trying to find a video of why. He is very loving toward me but just doesn't knead.
