6th Indie-Siyensya Film Making Competition | LUMOS TEASER 2

Participating in a national film-making competition is always an incredible opportunity, and we were honored to be a part of it. Although we didn't make it to the finals, we're proud of the hard work and effort we put into our film. We're grateful for the experience and the opportunity to showcase our work among such talented student filmmakers.

But the true victory lies in the journey. The process of creating a film is what makes it so special and we learned a lot from this experience. We've been inspired by the works of others. We're excited to take what we've learned and apply it to our future projects.

Today, we are proud to share our entry meticulously crafted by our students. The film is entitled as 'Lumos' - a depiction of a group of young individuals which ventures out into the city to defy the inevitable - to prevent Tacloban from drowning. Lumos, a Waray-Waray term that directly translates to drowning, symbolizes the city's fate in a few years if people continue to turn a blind eye to the clear impacts of climate change.
Keep creating, keep pushing boundaries and never give up on your dreams.
