Ball joints on my Ram was the majority of it. Change to a T style steering helps too. Track bar has a ball joint on one end.

An extremely common thing to happen to a Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge vehicles!

Assuming the suspension components are all up to snuff, Adjust the toe out slightly. The take it for a drive. If it’s better but still there adjust it out slightly more. If you go to far obviously you will cause increased tire wear.

had this on my moms 98 Grand Cherokee many years ago when it hit a big bump at speed.. New steering stabilizer stopped it.. but that was like 10 years ago. It needs new control arms now, as its wearing out the tires

So I got a Cherokee that’s about 8 inches of lift long travel control arms hemi joint steering beefy stuff . Running on 35inc beadlocks and if my tire pressure gets low it will get death wobble . It’s a wheeler that I drive on the streets to go play and run the family around town a bit .

I just adjusted the screw on top the gear box and it took the slack out.

My semi had that. They put friggin aluminum chock blocks under the leaf springs. Don't ask me why.
Yeah that's scary in a friggin semi fully loaded haha😂

Hey Tom. Wow I’ve been messaging you a lot lately. Wanted to know if you ever found out what was causing this? I’ve got a 1999 Dodge ram 1500 4x4. Damn thing shook so bad it bent the left inner tie rod. Checked all the other stuff everything feels tight, shocks are bad. Sucks because I did replace all the ball joints and tie rods track bar, end links and redhead gearbox (which is now leaking after this)! Shoulda bought a ford…

Steering damper is faulty. Don't care if it's new

I had a death wobble and the crazy thing is the rear tire had thrown the balance weights off. Check for a bent rim and possibly the drive line? Good luck. Sorry if I'm wrong.

Tighten the balls out of the steering stabilizer
