Thank you so much. Pretty good brief and guidance for starting out. Just ordered a Endura Max 55lb 42in for my new jon boat 1338, and a 100amps battery LiFePO4. I wasn't sure if I'll use the motor at bow or stern, so I'll nake a transom mount at the bow and find out. 42" shaft looked reasonable for this purpose. Ill be powered by a gas outboard for quick displacement, and electric outboard just for tactical fishing reasons. Pedal, remote and gps ones were above budget 😢

I have a Minn Kota Edge 45 on my boat now. I want to up grade to the Ulterra in 24 volt. Will I have to run new wire going to 24v. I have 2 12 volts now on my 12 v motor.
