On July 14, 2020, CBC News Network's Power & Politics host Vassy Kapelos interviews Mary Dawson, who was federal Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner from 2007 to 2018. During that time, Dawson found Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had violated the Conflict of Interest Act for vacationing on a private island owned by the Aga Khan. Asked about the third and most current investigation -- this one into Trudeau's actions as Prime Minister with respect to the WE Charity -- Dawson says he may have a "blind spot" when it comes to ethical matters: "One doesn't continue to do the same thing twice. There seems to be a little bit of a blind spot or something there."
