Viveka is a sanskrit word, roughly meaning "discernment." Being able to maneuver our physical lives with discernment is a qualification for the tru rāja yogi. Viveka gives us the ability to see clearly... beginning to understand truth from untruth, real from the unreal, wise from the foolish. How do we do this? Work on eliminating that from our lives which cloud our vision... desires, prejudices, coarse emotions.
