Also P.S. if u have ur cone filter lower in engine bay, but not too low it might help to stop too much engine heat being sucked in preventing performance like others here were explaining. Also get a heat Shield.

we all have to start somewhere but damn, logic dictate that, having exposed filter element under hood with excessive heat will cause decreased performance but hey, at least it sounds good, right?

black car is nice in all Focus lover but what is the actual point of putting a cold air intake on a car if all you're going to do is leave it under the hood to suck in even hotter air reducing horsepower significantly think about it hot versus cold in a compact cylinder just think about it

How did u manage to keep the mass airflow sensor there? Did u have to cut the original filter box to mod that part? I have ford focus 1.6. And for cold air cut a hole in ur bumper and join the pipe there and get mesh to stop major rain intake. Also if ur car is lowered and u live in the UK, have it reasonably high up jst incase u hit a deep puddle.

Anyone wondering real talk don’t do this to your car unless your a child wanting a blowing noise u lose power sucking in warm engine air I’ve just swapped my performance filter back to stock after losing power and acceleration for the sake of a silly noise 🤣

Guaranteed way to blow your 1.6 up instead of the air box working properly and bringing in air through the front grille your sucking up warm dirty engine bay air for the sake of thinking you look cool with your steel wheels 🤣 so you spent £180 on a k&n before you even bothered with alloys
