What is this lesson?
Do you want to get a value from two lookup values of two intersecting categories?
Nesting an X LOOKUP formula inside another X LOOKUP formula allows you to perform a two-way lookup.
In this video, we will show you how to do that.
When and where can the lesson be used?
The X LOOKUP is a function that searches a value from a horizontal or vertical array, then returns a value from a specified return array.
The function runs on six arguments where only the first three are required.
This function can be used to perform a two-way lookup by nesting an X LOOKUP function into another X LOOKUP function. The inner X LOOKUP formula is used to lookup a value then returns an array, which is used as the return array for the outer X LOOKUP formula.
