CD Projekt Red RESPONDS To Cyberpunk 2077 Rumors... It's Better Than Expected?

All has been quiet on the Cyberpunk 2077 front up until recently as restlessness sits in. With rumors picking up, folks are asking what's going on with Phantom Liberty as CDPR and they even have a few answers for us.

CPR saw how many people were willing to go back to cyberpunk as long as it worked the way it was intended to and I think they are going to take their time since this is their one and only expansion for the game and I believe they are going to release it when it is absolutely ready and I believe they’re gonna put a good amount of new game mechanics and really try to earn back some of that goodwill they lost.

I’m so glad they didn’t give up on this game, by far one of my favorite games to play, been since day one and I don’t plan on going away from it any time soon, so I’m excited there’s still plans of updates

I agree on CDPR going dark is a good thing. I think they learned their lesson with the botched launch and horrible marketing on CP2077. It'll be interesting when more info on Orion comes after Phantom Liberty has its chance to shine. Perhaps in June we'll hear something on a release date for Phantom Liberty. Maybe a November/December 2023 release would be best for Phantom Liberty.

started playing Cyberpunk like a week ago and the only reason I was certain I wanted to jump in was because of your video talking about how much they've improved it and stuck to it and I am so glad you were right, such a great game glad I got to experience this version

This game has truly become a great game. I’ve played it since launch back in 2020, and it was a hot mess on release and I’m glad CDPR didn’t give up on the game and kept working on it to become great.

The saying is "nipped in the *bud*", not *butt*, as in pinching off the bud of a flower before it can come to fruition (the DLC rumor being the bud, in this instance). Very informative video, regardless!

I started playing in January, got it half off in the steam winter sale. Fell i love with it very quickly. I can be patient for Phantom Liberty, partly because I've not yet exhausted my enjoyment of the core game, but also because I want CDPR to be able to get it right. I got into the game late, but it seems at a good time, and I know I'm not alone. Looking to forward to what comes next in Night City.

I'm so excited, I think this DLC is gonna be MASSIVE considering its the ONLY planned (that we know of) before the sequal. Not to mention their track record with amazing DLC expansions like Blood and Wine or Hearts of Stone

I have mixed feelings about Phantom Liberty. When I hear financially ambitious followed by the names of actors, I think misplaced priorities. I don't want Al Pacino and his performance. I want the focus to be the gameplay. I'll buy the DLC and enjoy it. But after spending $60 on the original game, I'll let other people go first on this one.

I have literally gone cold turkey on Cyberpunk since the next gen update released until we get Phantom liberty as I just can't justify doing another playthrough until there is enough new content to see.
