The bounce ball will also feel hot, try after a game of squash. Its because the bouncy ball is one piece wich wants to retain its shape after being deformed. A hacky sack if made of a lot of tiny pieces surrounded by a sack. The sack doesnt want to retain its shape bacause theres enough room inside for the little things to spread out.

should mention elasticity. take all of the beads out and the hacky sack still won't bounce

Didn't answer any questions. Why does a steel ball bounce if it's steel?
