It's unprofessional to correct someone openly like that. There's always a way to do things, and that's not it.... Lord, have mercy!

I tested positive yesterday and I contacted public health, a nurse called me later that evening and after learning that I'm a high risk patient, she suggested I get the Paxlovid antiviral medication as I started experiencing symptoms on Friday night. I called the pharmacy and the pharmacist suggested I start it right away, because if I wait past the 5 days, it would be ineffective. In Ontario it is free without a prescription to OHIP cardholders. I started taking it last night and I feel better, but I noticed the metallic taste in my mouth a few hours after taking the medication and the diarrhea started today. I have had the 2 shots in 2021 and the booster shots in 2022. I will probably need a 3rd booster after this. I will be following up with my doctor tomorrow, as the pharmacist also suggests a different inhaler for my asthma.

So I've been fighting off COVID since July 1st, and was put on Paxlovid this past Saturday. I experienced hot and cold flashes, body aches, terrible constant headache, sore throat, and nagging cough. Within 48 hours the majority of those symptoms went away. I still have a nagging cough ever-so-often, but can breathe fine and no fever. That said, Paxlovid does work, though the taste in the mouth is pretty disgusting and difficult to get used to. I won't be fully out of the woods until the 11th, yet I feel fine right now. Hopefully it doesn't come back because this was not fun!

Taking Paxlovid now- definitely experiencing the pungent taste in my mouth. I found that eating fruits like grapes and strawberries will neutralize the taste for a while. So I’ll eat a few grapes to get rid of the taste before I have a meal.

The first time I got covid was on high flow and oxygen for 4 months. I got dixlexia, pain on right leg, blindness, memory loss, bleeding nose and super cold. 2and time with paxlovid all the previous symptoms went away and i was back to normal after the second pill. I lost my voice for 7 days, I drank pedylite to get rid of the taste.

I took this medicine a day after testing positive for COVID. I feel like it worked just that the nasty mouth taste would make me nauseous. I had to drink Gatorade to keep hydrated and had plenty of carbs for my stomach to settle down. So glad the medicine worked fast and I only had COVID for 4 days n then on day 5 was negative again. 😊..only annoying thing about COVID now is that annoying cough with phlegm I get randomly if I talk to much or walk a lot n my body gets agitated.

Headache, nausea, diarrhea, dry mouth, horrible metallic taste in my mouth, achy. Negative, then positive again and a horrible head cold. May be it stopped the Covid from getting worse but 8 felt terrible for several days. Still, maybe it kept me out of the hospital.
