Everyone talks about Marchand’s 1:28 split but no one mentions how insane Luke’s 1:29.63 Leadoff is! A 2 second drop from his PB! (Old PB: 1:31.89)

Marchand going halfway underwater off every turn in a 200 is something I've never seen before. His leg strength and lung capacity must be off the charts.

Marchand has revolutionized NCAA swimming with his mind-boggling underwaters

No way Texas wasn’t terrified for the last 100m - Marchand was like a shark tracking foster down.

Why did Rowdy so casually say 1:28.4?😂😂

He must have been at such a loss for words which is rare from him when he is rattling off splits in the 200 medley relay and freaking out over fastest ever splits.

Props to Luke but definitely thought 1:28.4, first ever under 1:29, deserved way more hype from Rowdy.😂

Marchand is fucking scary. Going after Foster like an orca chasing down a seal

I appreciate the coverage but how on earth are you still only uploading in 720p in 2023. Please at least do 1080p (should really be in 4k though). Thanks!

Does anyone know how much Marchand's 1'28"42 at the start would be worth, without the relay advantage ? To compare with Luke Hobson's 1'29"63. Dean Farris' record (1'49"15) seems pretty close.

The wording above says the winning time was 6.04.42. It was actually 6.03.42.

Honestly Marchand is making me lose my love for short course (especially yards) swimming. In my opinion he completely breaks the game because of how good his underwaters are. Let's be real. Marchand is not as good on freestyle as Foster is. Time and time again does Foster throw down faster long course times. Last World championships Foster was 1:45.0 and Marchand went 1:47.6. Yet somehow that difference is damn near inverse on short course. And you can see him go half-way on every underwater

Don't get me wrong, I have no animosity against Marchand, but when I see results like this or the 3:28 400 IM, I am just indifferent. I don't care.
