I thought these things were supposed to be mounted on the water heater with a sensor mounted where you're working? Or does that thing run 24/7 also I don't understand your comment on the button

Hot water is not allowed to go back in the cold water line for hygienic reasons.
Question is in any case if even the costs of that system plus energy isnt even higher than letting run the water a few seconds.
