James Cameron REVEALS Plans For Avatar 4 and 5..

Welcome back to Recap Royalty, today on the channel we are going to discuss details about James Cameron and Jon Landau Sharing Plans For Avatar 4 and 5 + 'Avatar 5' Will "Open Neytiri's Eyes" to Life on Earth, Says Jon Landau. Avatar: The Way of Water arrives in theaters next week, and yet, plans for future sequels are a topic of discussion. While Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 depend on the success of Avatar 2, James Cameron and Jon Landau shared updates on those future sequels. After Avatar, Cameron decided to write the scripts for four sequels. In an interview with Collider, Cameron explained how the studio would send him notes after completing each script. However, what the studio said about Avatar 4 caught the director’s attention.

Up to this point, Pandora has served as the setting of the first two films. However, producer Jon Landau revealed (via Gizmodo) how Avatar 5 will flip the script and head to Earth to show the planet in a new light to certain members of the Na’vi. “I wasn’t going to talk about it, but I’ve now subsequently heard that Jim has talked about it a little bit. In movie five there is a section of the story where we go to Earth. And we go to it to open people’s eyes, open Neytiri’s eyes, to what exists on Earth,” said Landau. “Earth is not just represented by the RDA. Just like you’re defined by the choices you make in life, not all humans are bad. Not all Na’vi are good. And that’s the case here on Earth. And we want to expose Neytiri to that.” Meanwhile, 'Avatar 5' Will "Open Neytiri's Eyes" to Life on Earth, Says Jon Landau. It might've been over a decade since we last returned to Pandora but it's clear legendary director James Cameron's Avatar universe has been well under development behind the scenes. With just weeks until Avatar: The Way of Water's long-awaited release, the conversation around Pandora has never been more prominent and that includes Cameron's subsequent three sequels. I really hope that even if he isn’t directing the fourth and fifth films he’s at least still involved heavily. I would hate for his vision to not be realized later in the franchise because of too many differing views on varying aspects. He needs to still remain a producer with a lot of influence and hopefully who gets along with whoever he passes the torch of directing to. These two films have been so successful because he is so painstakingly involved and more than just a director but actively a member of the crew and working along side them and I think that’s a really special quality that you don’t see much with directors today. He really has so much passion for this project and there’s a reason that I’m not worried about this franchise being a hit and that I was never worried that this movie would flop.

James Cameron introduced acting and filming underwater in The Way of Water, which brought filming production to the next level. In the next sequel, he will introduce us to acting and filming under heat/flames/lava in the Seed Bearer (Ash People). So excited about this. Good luck to the new set of actors, but this will be another milestone for the film industry.

The CGI in the first movie still holds up so well that I had to pause and think for a moment to determine if the footage at the start of the clip was from one or two. The difference is of course evident but the first still impresses you so much that you find yourself doubting :p

I've seen he first two in theaters many times. The first one is what made me decide to buy a 3D tv. Have over 300 3D blue rays. Avatar 1 still ranks as the #1. Hope Disney will keep releasing the Avatar movies/discs in 3D for me to enjoy at home with my grand kids. And I hope Cameron has the health to complete all of them...or at least offer guidance to those whom he decides will take over.
