It makes sense it’s only a torso in the upcoming game, because it’s a jack in the box. It’s probably just a torso connected to the box by some hydraulic system that allows it to pop out the box, but not leave it. Now we the player character is around it alone for some reason, before Fall Fest, leading to it wanting to attack us. This is when it disconnects itself from its hydraulic system to crawl around to attack us. Remember this is the Mimic so it’s probably been watching Ed and learning how to fix animatronics, meaning it gave itself legs or they find it after the upcoming game and give it legs after finding it outside the box to get it ready for Fall Fest. I like it learning how to fix itself from Ed a lot better.

I just noticed that when Gregory talks he say its been trapped down *here* for a really long time. Wouldn't he have said trapped down there for a really long time. So did Gregory ever actually contact Cassie? Just a thought maybe someone has already looked into it

I have an alernate take. The books say Edwin created the animatronic, but Henry said the souls are "Trapped in prisons of my own making". Not every thing in the book can be taken literally, but this game does seem to suggest that Henry has similiar adributes to Edwin. Also, that carosoul could be the one from Fnaf 2. That and the presence of Toy Animatronic merchantdice like the Mangle could suggest that the Fnaf 2 location, or more likely a similar restruant, existed much earlier in the timeline. Nice video, tho.

2:43 I don’t think the main gameplay of secret of the mimic is set in 1979, I think it’s set in 1970 or the early 70s. I think that the fall fest fire with the carousel happened in 1979 because it looks like the tape is being burned

I think the springlock suit we're put inside of in Sister Location is Jackie's "shell" - and maybe The Mimic endo becomes the base for Enard before they go scavenging the others

I do think it’s interesting, because jackie not having legs does connect to the description of the mimic in the book. Especially with how the game is taking place in a factory, which is another connection to the book.

Given the books were a starting point with this character, this game is gonna clarify the *secret of the mimic*, and if we’re lucky, we’ll figure out how The Mimic got sealed away in the ruin basement?

If we recall to the 2023 PAX West FNAF Booth, when HW 2 was a demo, it was in September, then the full game got released in December. Given SOTM is said to release in 2025, my guess is that we’ll get the game in early 2025? Maybe in March or April? It’s hard to say exactly? Regardless, I’m excited to play this game, and see what the lore implications will be.

9:41 The original Mimic is repaired and given legs by a fazbear recovery team in "The Mimic" story. If this is post-Edwin breakdown then the Mimic's head should be also different from the one in Ruin due to it replaced two times in Tales. Once by the recovery team (who also gave it legs) and then sometime after, but before the start of the epilogues it is described as having a new cleaner head with rabbit ears unlike it's burnt body.

Most likely Jackie is the Mimic wearing her as a costume and is going to stay legless throughout the game as it wouldn't make sense given it getting legs it part of a major event later on.

the carousel could be the one Moon rides in HW2
