Muscovites react to Russian warlord Yevgeny Prigozhin's jet crash 'death'

RUSSIAN mercenary chief Yevgeny Prigozhin was listed as a passenger on a private jet that crashed on Wednesday (August 23) north of Moscow with none of the ten people on board surviving, according to Russian authorities.

Reuters could not immediately confirm that he was on the aircraft.

The news of his presumed death divided opinions on the streets of the Russian capital on Thursday (August 24), with some describing Prigozhin as a "national hero" and his apparent demise as a "tragedy", but others were sceptical that he had died in the crash calling the Wagner chief a "master of illusion".
