Don’t fall for it

Madden 24 is reportedly a make or break game for EA. Or is it? Will anything actually change? Is it just marketing speech? Here's my take.

this is just a tactic for them to make us wait for something that we've wanted for years to just be like "Sales aside, we are pleased with the product the team has put out and will continue our journey with EA."

Man, I remember Madden 07 and 08 being so good. I didn't even like Franchise mode because there was too much going on. Now I would love something like that. Maybe I'll try and emulate one of those...

I have a feeling the NFL has probably begun to threaten that exclusive license. Madden would be like Live rn if they had competition

Madden 07. My first EA game. The thought they put into that game... My little brain couldn't comprehend it. You could feel the love.

I really hope 2K makes a XFL or USFL video game so I can have a new good football game to play.

I saw this and was like “Nope. Not true. Just a marketing ploy.”

They say this every year. They said it *this* year and that was honestly the worst franchise mode experience Ive had this century. I literally haven’t played it since NBA 2k23 came out

The title has me rolling. Man it's such a shame I really used to spend all weekend playing madden back when sean alexander was on the cover. i think 2006 or 2007 i forget. Really all of them since vick was on the cover, and then stopped after 07 or 08 whatever. But Man I remember saying as a kid, 'I can't imagine how great this game is gonna be when i'm older" and boy oh boy was I wrong.

If you want a deep franchise mode that's fun for hours and hours, challenging but fun, highly customizable, addictive, and "feels" like you're managing the team... try Retro Bowl.

After playing games like madden 08 and madden 11 my jaw literally dropped with how much more there was in games that were released years and years ago it boggles my mind as to why they got rid of all the content

The same thing happened with the NHL series when I worked there years ago.
Bad games repeatedly, so they made a big deal about a "Re-shuffle = fired 1 lower level Producer.
Sacraficial lamb, and continued to make sub-par games.
EA used to be great.
