Civilians aren't "Innocent till proven guilty" so why should this guy be any different???

Can we please stop treating the police like they are somehow special. They commit the same crimes as the criminals and should get the same sentences as the people they put away.

I know the lieutenant did wrong but when you are told over and over and over again, even by the Supreme Court of the United States it is honorable and just to lie and be a liar that he just didn't think a lot about it when he was lying in the courtroom. He figured the Supreme Court of the United States, law enforcement's good buddy, would protect him.

I got to meet Lieutenant Bill Rice in 2002. Back then he was an inspector at the 12th precinct. I met him at a homeland security seminar that I attended when I was in the process of interviewing and applying at Motorola in 2002. I was very impressed with him and at the fact that the Detroit Police Department chose him to represent them at the seminar. The Detroit Police Department is a big place, and I’m sure that the powers that be chose him to represent. In fact, Bill Rice indicated that his only dream since the age of 6 was to be a police officer. Even though this is an old case, I am still shocked every time I run across some story involving his criminal activities.
