“The Dobbs decision is just the beginning,” reads the forward of Project 2025, officially titled "Mandate for Leadership - The Conservative Promise.” The 900+ page document isn’t just some wild conservative wishlist. It’s full of highly detailed policy proposals with plans for how to carry them out if Trump re-enters the White House. Every weekend, ‘Velshi’ digs into a new section or issue to reveal exactly what’s in this “mandate.” Abortion is mentioned 199 times throughout Project 2025 – the blueprint aims to prevent abortion from “the moment of conception” - which would likely involve establishing so-called “personhood” rights for embryos and fetuses, as well as banning abortion pills and the like. So the RNC’s supposed softening on abortion by not including a federal ban in its official platform is dishonest, at best. After all, by our count, at least seven people who wrote the RNC’s 2024 platform have close connections to Project 2025.

Billionaire Elon Musk has reportedly donated to a political action committee (PAC) working to support former President Donald Trump’s bid for a second term in office.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the Tesla CEO made an undisclosed “sizeable amount” donation to America PAC. This PAC, which can receive unlimited contributions but cannot directly fund a candidate, is required to disclose its donors on July 15.

Former White House advisor Peter Navarro, who is currently serving a sentence for contempt of Congress, is scheduled to speak at the Republican National Convention next week, just hours after his release.

Sources close to the convention’s schedule revealed on condition of anonymity that Navarro will be in attendance and will be speaking at the event, according to the Associated Press. Navarro will be released from prison in Miami on Wednesday, July 17. He is expected to travel to Milwaukee to attend the convention, which concludes the following day. MAGA
