Great episode, and some great picks.
As much as i love these sorts of videos. In equal measure i utterly hate them... Well, i don't hate them, my bank account hates them.. I have about 20 books already on my wishlist on Amazon. And now an extra 6 or 7.

And for a couple of picks for me.
Today i picked up Jeff Brouws, Approaching Nowhere. Which i love the first 2 thirds. But it trails off a bit at the end..
Still pretty good though.
And The Mythic City: Photographs of New York by Samuel H Gottscho 1925-1940 is seriously good
As is Trent Parke: Minutes to Midnight... Which i might add is up there as one of my all time favourites.

Oh! Nearly forgot. And a happy new year.


PS, i went to a Sugimoto exhibition.. I want to say in France, but it might have been Poland for a photo festival... Where Sugimoto's seascapes were presented in portrait orientation. They were, unbelievable. And you'd think portrait would ruin them. It did totally the opposite.

Ted, , I love your no nonsense approach, the top book series is where my heart is, inspiration from the best, my father had an original print of HCB's Decisive Moment, sadly for me an older sibling snaffled this book a very long time ago but along with many other great publications... Lartigue, Beaton, Brassai, Adams et al.. although i did grab my share. When i was reviewing your video regarding what i consider a true genius at work, Imagine my delight when on Xmas day there it was, ahhh the wife does listen, , , I also still operate a darkroom, can't quite seem to go totally let go, another benefit being, you pick up really rather expensive pieces. looking forward to 2016 and your further Vlogs. Do you have any plans to visit the UK . I am a Scot living in Cheshire with plans eventually to return when i retire in 2018 hopefully... have a super year i am certain you will go from strength to strength. Jamie
