Zhang played brillianty, especially his backhand is near to perfection, for those who thought Zhang is the worst of the top 4 is wrong, even fan once said in an interview that Zhang is still the strongest player in terms of skill and mentality

Every time there is a match involving chinese players in which the outcome is unexpected, people always jump to the conclusion that the match is either fixed or intentional. Guys, have you ever considered that it's just a great match, and the outcome came to be because of skill and mental strength? Right now, xu xin, ma long, zhang jike, and fan zhendong are all fighting for a spot on the Olympic team. None of them will intentionally throw away matches.

There is now an extra element of maturity in his ultra aggressive style of play, which is insanely intimidating. You can see his control of rhythm, which you would mostly only see from XX among the players of this generation.

Everyone can tell Zhang Jike is recovering. And seems Ma Long intentionally tried some new backhand-oriented play style in this game, and took a lot more backhand flick when receiving serves.

And if you Look closely when chinese face chinese here There are like in training match . They were more motivated in quater final against player from other country. I think this is a pré startegy for olympics games

If Ma thinks he can defeat Zhang using a backhand to backhand strategy, he's crazy. Fully deserved to lose this match if that was the case. Great play by Zhang, especially at all those 10-9's and deuces.
