A peaceful 1 hour long ride at night on a BBSHD powered bike.
I picked a new Gopro Hero5 black and a handheld phone gimbal. So I thought why not go out for a ride to test the two out.

I just installed my BBSHD on my bike and the stock chain ring is horrible as everyone has said.

The question I have MADE a 28 tooth chain ring and it works much better now but still NOT as powerful as others have said the BBSHD would be . Top speed in 1st gear is 13 mph Top speed in 7th gear is 24.7 mph which is fine with me because i really don't need any additional speed. I only ride it on trails so no need for super fast speeds.

But the question is WHY does my BBSHD NOT have the GRUNT that I think it should have with a 28 tooth chain ring even in 1 gear which is a 28 tooth rear it should be almost popping wheelies as other have stated when they used the Max Mini 30 tooth from Luna.
I dont get it what is wrong with mine. I went up a few short inclines and it still seems to slow me down to about 7 mph on a very short 15 degree hill you have any suggestions.

I actually watched this whole thing. LOL! You're riding around my stomping grounds!
I looked into these Bafang mid-drive kits a few years back but they were so pricey and I had too much pride to go electric. Lol. Now I want one.
The pace you were maintaining was pretty high. I can see you were pedaling most of the time. How much of that ride was on pedal power and how much on battery? Do you think it can make it up to SFU on battery alone?
I'm really curious now...
Oh btw, nice job hitting the pole! lol!
