In this video I give you a lot of general information about an Electric Mobility Scooter (type Luxxon e4800). You can also see the Mobility Scooter (4-wheel vehicle) in real driving operation.
Remark: You can see the same video with German spoken text here:

You have better mobility scooters, better laws for the scooters, and better roads and sidewalks in Germany than we have in Britain. That is for sure!

In the Uk these would be Green Power models, they have motorbike controls, so if you are expecting a delta handle they are totally different, with the twist grip accelerator, the speeds are also different, the top speed is 8mph in the UK but you can get them up to 12mph, but only for offroad, he says 20kph but it just not allowed here
The higher the Watts the better-pulling power, but if you don't have many hills to climb over 800w is sufficient, also Lithium batteries are lighter and the range of 45 miles is about the best you will get on the market,
They are good scooters but too large to take on public transport and trains, so you need the distance to get there and back safely, ideal for 10 to 18 miles both ways without worrying if you will get back, a great weight of your mind as opposed with the 4mph ones The outdated laws in the UK are frustrating but I don't think they will change anytime soon, some people think there is a balancing problem with the three-wheelers but I have found they are far more manoeuvrable than four, which are very difficult to get into tight spaces, and the non-punture tyers are good but very rough ride, and if you have any kind of bone problems you will feel every jolt in the pavement so inflatable is far better

A very informative video. I am in the process of looking for a scooter as at age 74 my legs are starting to fail me.
This has pointed out things I wouldn't have looked for. Now I know!
By the way, your dad looks great for his age and he is also a good driver!😊

From Australia, I have this same scooter, after having transplant surgery after a car accident. I take it on all the hundreds of kilometres of trails that go all over Melbourne. I have to order solid tyres now as I keep getting punctures on the tubeless tyres. I also imported an engine guard as I lost half the motor going over a bump. I also imported a second lithium battery, as it fits 2, and do about 100 on a day's trip. Am surprised you have to have it registered and have a number plate in Germany. Here it is not required.

nothing wrong with the scooters. It is the footpaths and road crossings in Victoria Australia. Paths get very little maintenance yet roads get new asphalt. My next scooter will have front suspension and 16 inch wheels. Better still rear suspension as well. This will help as the councils do not replace footpaths.

This looks identical to my Veleco mobility scooter Faster model, I bought in the UK last year, I can recommend it, the roads around me are hilly and uneven, but once you get the hang of it, it fine.

I have the green power "fastest" which is the British version of this scooter, so far I have had it for 3 years and no major problems, apart from the odd squeak. The range I get is around 35miles, but I am on the heavy side. Not very good for going in shops as turning circle is quite large. I personally would recommend the scooter but as with all vehicles buyer beware.

I just bought a Vevor scooter and it looks just like this scooter with only minor differences.

Very nice scooter! Have you tried this on off road trails? I’m looking for something that can handle them with a good travel range.

Hello Andreas, excellent video, very helpful. Here in the UK these seem to be made by Veleco model name ''Faster''. I can definitely see one of these scooters in my future. Just got to decide if the option of a Lithium battery over a Lead Acid battery is worth the extra expense.

Very nice but as mentioned the pavements in Uk are pretty bumpy, don’t think we are allowed on the roads but don’t think I would anyway, your roads look so quiet and smooth.

Do not buy one from veleco, as after 2 years they do not look after it or fix it properly. As they want you to buy a new one after having it for 2 years. If in United kingdom you can use green power for parts which saves you paying a huge postage for spares £28:00 on top of spare parts. Basically don't buy from veleco

This must have been filmed on a Sunday or early weekday morning, hardly a car around, I’ve just sold my 4mph 4 wheel scooter as it felt unstable in use and I had only had it for a year but thinking of replacing it with a Veleco FASTER, where I live in the UK I am in the middle of a large city and don’t have the wide spaces you appear to enjoy but still a very useful and informative video
