Rest easy John prine. It’ll be a different world without this guy, for real. Rest easy man.

You can see the respect that Strurgill has for John by the way he accompanies him.

That's respect. Sturgill could outsing John at this point but it never crosses his mind. That shoes class

I was lucky enough to see John Prine and his best friend Steve Goodman in Austin, Texas, at Armadillo World in 1973. Just the two of them standing on the stage with their acoustic guitars. Everyone loved them. Then I saw him with John Lee Hooker, Doctor John and John Hammond Jr. in a small theater in Miami. Then another time in a beautiful, new event center Fort Lauderdale where I am from. The acoustics were beautiful. Just by himself up on the stage making everybody laugh and cry. I have been blessed. I swear I become a crybaby every time I listen to him.

I will love you forever, John. May you rest in peace and in Paradise. Be assured that your music, like one of your influences, Hank Williams, will live forever. Now you and Steve Goodman can sing duets once again!

I grew up as a child in the 80's and my aunts friends were musical. They often played his music around campfires. I'm 42 and I am glad to know this genre of music

The Grammies are much less important than music like this.

Been a John Prine fan many years. First time I saw him was in the 70's on the Johnny Cash show performing this very song. He is a legend to our family!

At first this seems like a simple song... but after listening to it a few more time you realize it's another masterpiece from the master!

Beautiful performance by both. And I grew up on the Mud River which feeds the Green. About 20 miles from Paradise as a crow flies. Love hearing this
