Noah And The Whale: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert

A few years ago, Noah and the Whale would have seemed like the last band to bring a drum machine to a Tiny Desk Concert. But here, the London band plugs in -- and sweet simplicity still reigns.

Their first album, Peaceful, the World Lays Me Down is about falling in love
First Days of Spring is about that love breaking
and Last Night on Earth is about moving on.

I'm a sucker for heartbreak, so First Days of Spring is always going to be my favorite, but it's only as good as it is because it's the second act in an amazing trilogy. Deliberate or not.

This was my first time hearing Blue Skies and it made me bawl my eyes out. I've been suffering from depression for so long now it feels unending but blue skies are coming... But I know it's hard. Beautiful.
