Lyrics:
Don't you know what is wrong with me?
Seeing things I don't want to see
Sniffing things that ain't no good for me
Going down fast, won't you say a prayer for me?

Got to get better in a little while
Got to get better in a little while
Got to get better in a little while
Got to get better in a little while
The sun is gonna shine on my guitar someday

Revolution all across the land
Just like Sly, you got to take a stand
Please don't hurt nobody, don't knock them down
Give them a helping hand to get off the ground

Still one thing that you can do
Fall down on your knees and pray
I know the Lord's gonna answer you
Don't do it tomorrow, do it today

....and just like that a man in a shirt plain and simple, standing on a stage, no fancy lights, no theatrics, with a guitar blows everyone away . Strut your stuff Eric to the ends of the earth . 🎉

67 here. Whoya ! Witnessed CREAM on their Goodbye Tour at the then "Fabolous Forum" in Los Angeles. 1st concert AT $6.50. Followed this man from the Bluesbreakers on but no matter who he has played with you always....know its him. Articulate, clean, fast, gracious on stage and soooo soulful. Thank you indeed Eric Clapton ! We on the senior tour were so lucky to actually see live, EC and the other amazing axmen mentioned below in our life time. Gonna be a good while before such collective musicianship comes this way again. What a ride !!!

I'm 71 and had the good fortune to spend my college days listening to Cream...they made the insanity of the 1960s tolerable and life worth living, at least for me.

I’m 17 and about to graduate from high school in June. Thank you Eric for your beautiful music that helped me through the stressful time in the college application season.

Eric Clapton is one guitar player I could never get tired of listen to, I could listen to the same song few times and still hear something different, I could never get a computer good enough for storing all the generations of blues music to blues/rock etc. I have watched all the Eric Clapton crossroads guitar festival concerts YouTube. Wish I was there in person to hear the great music. Never hear music like this in Australia. America is so fortunate to have a great music culture and history they have. Wish I was there, YouTube is as close as I can get, God bless America for great blues artists throughout many generations

Played guitar as a kid...3-chord "Gloria" stuff...caught Clapton on an album in his early days and knew at that moment, "I gotta play like this"...still trying 47 years later. You got to love his music...what a journey! Not sure that there is anyone quite like him...The guy Hendrix wanted to meet/play with when he hit London...friends, yet guitar rivals...if you consider the music played, written and the longevity...truly the elder statesman of rock-blues guitar...a world of influence. God Bless Him...

There’s only one Slow Hand. We’re going to miss him when he’s gone. What a legacy of pure rock guitar he’s amassed over six decades.

i was at the Royal Albert Hall, London in 1968. There was a supergroup called Cream playing on stage. They blew everybody's mind. 45 years later Eric Clapton takes the stage once more. Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker are no longer with him, but he's amongst the cream of musicians once again. Minds are blown again as Eric bares his soul! He's a rock legend!

Having saved himself from personal drug abuse, Eric founded the Crossroads Guitar Festival, which benefits a drug treatment center (The Crossroads Center).

There are alot of varying opinions when it comes to Mr Clapton...but in my eyes he is one of the most influential guitarist there has ever been...he is in the same category as Hendrix and Beck and Page and a host of others that were influencers...but if you really start digging slowhand really was one of the first to really turn the blue's rock genre on its heals..he will be forever remember as a pioneer... period...🎸🎸🎸
