This reminds me of the panther myth in NSW or something. I met some of my cousins who came from there and they said they believed that there are panthers in Australia.
Not only only that, there are also stories about the hairy man who takes form of a kids favourite animal and leads them into the bush.

If you think about it, the big foot species might be a monkey that evolved improperly by DNA. There might of been another one that had the same DNA as the one that was a big foot, then they might of tried to hide underground together having babies so the species could continue.

My mom had a story: one time she was on a dirt road she was driving and then she found something and it was tall and white it looks like bigfoot and it was creepy. Then she drove back and the bigfoot was chasing my mom and then she ran to the shelter as quickly as she can and lock the doors then he couldn’t get in.
