Love how Catwoman emerges from a tall building to look at the signal revealing to the viewer that she survives. while the ending of '89 shows Batman looking at the Bat Signal in the last shot. Fans definitely deserved a third Batman Burton film with Michael Keaton to close out what definitely would've been a dope trilogy.

This scene is powerful and a piece of brutal reality. When Bruce looks at Alfred standing outside of the car in the snow, you can see that his heart is broken and he looks as if he wants to cry. Batman is human and has emotion. That makes him dangerous to the bad guys but it also makes him very vulnerable. Within every great warrior, there lies the heart of a child. Men never fully grow up or mature.

Bruce loved Selina because she was his equal but their union couldn't be because of the variables at play.

This scene is very relatable.

Batman Returns is the greatest Batman movie we've gotten.

It doesn't forget its original source, while also adding more of a gothic feel. But also, more emotional.

Batman is portrayed as a conflicted man behind the mask. He's torn between love and his status as the hero Gotham needs, but doesn't deserve. One moment, everyone turned against him. The next moment, he was the last one to save them all. In the end, he was still upset, but he knew he was the only one to stand up against the forces of evil, even when those who went against him, he still wanted to do the right thing.

But did that help him? No. He met someone he really loved and was willing to give up his cape and cowl for. But they could never be together because of their conflicting backgrounds. And once again, Bruce Wayne, one of the wealthiest men in the world who seems to have it all, is once again the loneliest man in his world. 😢

In this scene I see it as Selena telling Bruce that she's alive and well but also, her way of telling him: "I love you but we can't be together because it's just too complicated. You can keep my cat so in a way we will always be together".

this triumphant theme will always be Batman’s theme to me. it’ll always be the first one i think of. watching these two Burton Batman films on VHS as a kid was a staple of my childhood that i’d never like to forget, alongside the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy.

I remember seeing this in the packed movie theater when it came out, and when Catwoman appears at the very end, the guy sitting right in front of me literally jumped out of his seat, and yells out "Yeah!! Batman 3!!" throughout the entire theater. Then everyone started clapping and saying "Batman 3!! Batman 3!!!!". People talking and thinking that this Bruce and this Selena would finally get together in "Batman 3", but instead we got stuck with Kilmer as Batman, dumb Riddler and Two-Face, Robin, and Neon colored Gotham city!! 😡😤
