Afghanistan is the largest producer and supplier of opium in the world and it has been happening under the troops of american troops deployed there. Did the troops take notice of the illegal production? Ofcourse YES. But was there any measures to stopped the export? BIG NO. Why? Cause of political involvement and support. A country so fragile and with the ongoing wars, one after the another from the 1980, Afghanistans fragile economy largely depends upon opium trade. Narcotics cultivation and supply chain is a complex and bigger problem with the cooperation of the powerful politicians. There has been no ban by the Government cause it is a profitable business. But what about the destruction is causes to the youth? Their whole lives are destroyed. Drug addiction is a dangerous trap.
