Looking through how effective nuclear charge (Zeff), shielding, nuclear charge, and principal quantum number impact trends in ionization energy, atomic radius and more. Exceptions for ionization energy moving across a period are examined for P and S. Some chemical reactions involving alkali metals, halogens, nonmetal oxides and metallic oxides and water are examined in net ionic and molecular form.
