“Nothing will change about my values” is code for “I will continue to have none.”

With Warnock's win she saw her ability to be a pivotal hurdle to block Democrat's went bye bye so this was her way of spitting in the party's face one final time. Good riddance!

Strip her of all committee assignments, funding from the DNC, and enact every other petty reprisal possible. You don’t get to screw over your party then expect no consequences and reprisals.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out. You never could do anything except block progress. EXAMPLES: refusing to crack down on big pharma profits, obstructing infrastructure, etc.

The US political system is so broken: How can you change your party affiliation as a senator AFTER people voted you in as a member of a specific party WITHOUT there having to be a re-election? Make that make sense.

She fit herself neatly into the Democratic party box when she wanted people to vote for her...

Once she lost leverage, she decided to declare what we Arizonans already knew. She only represents herself.

How can you leave a party that you never truly was a member of? She goes where the money is. Plain and simple.

Krysten Sinema has always been it for herself. Registering as an independent she sees the opportunity to profit from her vote.

We absolutely HAVE to find out who is paying her. EVERY SINGLE BIT of her finances need to be under public scrutiny.

I don’t understand how someone can run for a party, win, then decide to change parties after they win. That should disqualify them from office!

Warnock's win in Georgia meant that either Manchin or Sinema would become irrelevant. Sinema is volunteering because she's going to lose her seat anyway.

I'm not surprised she never was a Democrat.

You should not be able to switch parties while in office. If you must, then you should have to resign and your seat should be filled by someone of the same party - the party that won the vote in that state/district.

Kyrsten Sinema was never a democrat. But it is a betrayal of her constituency.

With her power moves gone with the election of Warnock, she needed to try and still stay relevant.

What a disgusting politician.

she and Manchin aren't dealbreakers anymore so this is just her trying to make it all about her again. Funny how this is all of a sudden after the GA runoff.

She will be leaving the senate altogether in 2024!

This is a power move on her part to remain relevant. Now she can be openly courted for her vote by both parties. I won't be surprised at all if she does add that "R" after her name sooner than we think.

Calling Sinema a democrat is like calling Jeffrey Dahmer a vegan.
