Many years ago I knew this couple from LA, the guy was from Hollywood who was in love with this girl from Wilmington North Carolina. They had two puppies. I used to have to listen to this song over and over again. He used to say this was their song. Their love story was the saddest love story. Both were drug and alcohol addicts and he got cleaned up but sadly she never did? They had this crazy but loyal commitment to one another and were inseparable and then one day they were finally separated, for ever; I always wondered what ever happened to the four of them. LA will destroy anything good.
