Dr. Darren Kruisselbrink is a professor in the Kinesiology program at Acadia University where he teaches courses in, among other things, Applied Sport Psychology, Motor Learning, and Motor Development. Darren has worked with teams and individual athletes as a mental skills coach for nearly two decades, and is currently the mental skills coach for women's volleyball at Acadia University. He is a goaltending instructor for Acadia hockey and Hockey Nova Scotia, and coaches minor hockey goalies. His talk discusses the Acadia Kinderskills movement development program, a program he developed that pairs student instructors with preschool children.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
