A Littoral Combat Ship is a corvette class vessel. I do not know what that means, but the ship looks nice, regardless.

A .50 caliber round will shoot clean thru this ship. Its weakness fuel fire from anti ship missiles and its own fuel. It burns at 2200 degrees and more, aluminum melts and deforms at 780 degrees. SEE: HMS Sheffield whole ship burned end to end in a hour and 10 minutes from a fire aft of CIC in 10 minutes fires penetrated CIC and burned thru to the bridge. CIC lost in 10 minutes. This ship is identical to US Navy Arleigh Burke Class. Aluminum doesnt defect rounds like steel nor does it hold up to fire. A dangerous place to be with incoming rounds and bulwarks cant protect you. Lesson in Vietnam learned long ago aluminum sucks for warships.

I bet USS Detroit cost more to make than the cost to buy the City of Detroit...
