Wow this experiment has so many holes that i doubt it could give any reliable conclusions, if only it was executed better or at least in a controlled environment.

Would not consider this accurate. Generally only the elder ants are outside foraging because it’s less risk sending ants that are old, so this doesn’t take into account the young population that always stays within the nest.
