Southport incident: Children confirmed among eight injured in major 'stabbing' scene near nursery

Eight patients with stab injuries have been treated at the scene in Southport so far and taken to hospitals including Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, North West Ambulance Service said.

Officers confirmed a man has been detained and a knife has been seized after a number of people were injured.
