One of the classic tangos from Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla, Libertango has attained worldwide popularity and remains one of his most popular works. Arranged here in a sensuous Latin rock style, this version features the woodwinds on the main melodic lines, and also a brief solo for trumpet with nicely crafted background figures throughout. Sure to appeal to a wide range of audiences.

Playing this on drums is absolute torture because you're always playing on the ride and no hi-hat

Awful version. Missing the original rhythm, no emotion and energy. That is the soul of this composition. There is not a version played as a ballad or simile. As this one. Because is not. Libertango can translate as “freedom tango”, “tango of freedom” and it has to transmite the fight of that freedom in a pasional way as is tango. It’s a pity when arrangers forget what de composers want to say on their compositions.
