16 Minute Vocal Warm Up Routine for Female Singers Voice

Показать описание
This 16-minute daily vocal warm-up routine is designed for female singers of all levels. It includes eight exercises covering vocal resonance, chest voice, head voice, twang and mixed voice and blending registers. The chest voice exercises have been extended down to D3 for lower female voices. Please only go as low as you feel comfortable. High female voices usually stop at around G3 or F3 on the keyboard, i.e., the F or G below middle C on the piano.

The exercises can be done ascending and descending, but you don't have to do both. If you prefer to go down the scale, start in the middle of the exercise. It's a good idea to read through the technical tips and instructions in yellow before you start. This video was created for my good friend Jo Loi - Singing and piano teacher. Jo uses this vocal routine with her students.

0:00 Humming - Resonance
2:18 Yah - Chest Voice
3:52 Dark Ah - Chest Voice
7:12 Meow - Head Voice
9:06 Oo 3rd Slides - Head Voice
10:21 Nya - Twang Mixed Voice
12:12 Yah Arpeggio - Mixed Voice blending registers
14:30 Glay Arpeggio - Mixed Voice blending registers

I was in the choir when I was at university and the memories of the voice I had then haunt me to this day... Thank you for your time in preparing these videos, they are needed.

I'll do this warmup for 6 months and see where it goes. Today was my first day of trying it. It was great but I was still using my throat at some points but I'll keep working on my breath support and breath control

Just a little observation : the instructions while we’re doing the exercises are very distracting, it’d be better if you put them in the description box for example so we can focus entirely and better on the exercises.

Thank you so much for your videos! they're really really helpful!!! English is not my first language, so I don't really know what you mean when you say "when the voice flips". I understand cracking voice, but not flipping voice!! can you enlighten me? thank you so much ! :)

Thank you for the video! Why should soprano fast forward one part of pure chest exercise though?
