ABRSM Grade 4 Music Theory Section H Part 1 Intervals with Sharon Bill

Welcome to my Music Theory Tutorials. In this music theory lesson I explain the eighth Chapter in ABRSM Music Theory in Practice Grade 4. In this tutorial I explain how to describe, perfect, major, minor, augmented and diminished intervals.

I have been teaching music theory for over twenty five years and I’ll help you every step of the way - just as if you were sitting next to me. Music Theory is an integral part of any musician’s studies. Understanding the structures behind the music we play supports our practise and performance. Even if you don’t play an instrument understanding how music is constructed helps us to be a more informed listener.

I LOVE music theory! It’s like peeling back the layers of the music to look at the nuts and bolts that hold it all together and make the music work.

On pg 27, on the last question on the first line, I think that it is perfect 5th because there are no key signitures and added accidentals, but since you said that it is a diminished 5th, that makes me confused.
