RECYCLE / RECONNECT

The idea for this piece was born of researching and exploring what recycling means when it comes to dance, movement and dance genres. What is inspiration, what is it to simply steal or copy movement/information and when is a move someone’s belonging that can be taken, borrowed, reused, recycled and used again. What is the cycle of movement?

42 arms painted pink, 500 rhinestones glued, 7 minutes of choreo, and a week of rehearsals later. This process has been oh so special to me for many reasons. But I just want to thank these incredible individuals for working so hard and having fun with me. Thank you for bringing this piece to life with me, to music I absolutely adore and am obsessed with. You are the best.
