I wish AOL would make it’s windows desktop as a Linux distribution instead.

I would say Fedora, Debian and Arch because they are the only 3 real distributions used as base for hundreds of other derivatives. The real (best) distributions is the one you like and use the most.

MX-Linux being a Debian based distro is just unbreakable.

Everything works stable out of the box!

Ngreedia drivers.

But not mentioning AMD which bends backwards for the Linux community, instead of giving them the middle finger like Ngreedia does .

Loved Ubuntu two years ago but I can't stand it now. Wayland brakes every single time and snaps are literally awful. I'd recommend Fedora with gnome. It just works better for me

can it work with 2gb ram 64bit system?

Agree. Ubuntu is a great OS and way better than Windows. Gnome is great to use everyday. It's because of that, i'm a full user of Linux for my work as a small company manager and for gaming. Ubuntu save me a lot of time because it works simply and fast.

Ubuntu is the most balanced and best all rounder distro

Ubuntu is pretty buggy!Add to that the unoptimized snaps and you don't really have the best distro! In fact you have a nuisance for people coming from Windows trying Linux for the first time!

My question is mint vs ubuntu (i still dont start into the linux world)
but if you "as a linux expert comparator" (i saw various vids) say that ubuntu is the best... it´s all said.

I'd rather choose Mint.
It doesn't force snaps on me.

It's NOT-- nor has it EVER been.... the best. It's GOOD-- very very good. but far from the BEST.... BEST is a relative term- applying to ONE's NEEDS-- so best is relative to whom you're asking- and what they NEED it for.

Popularity does not make one the best. There is no BEST there is only what is BEST for YOU.

Why Ubuntu isn't the best distro.

1: Bloated as hell.
2: Snaps
3: Small package repositories (Arch takes the win here)
4: Trackers. (It's like windows)
5: The community doesn't help much during issues. (from my experiences)

Ubuntu is the worst Linux distro and Canonical is the worst offender in the linux space. The snap store isn't even open source and they're constantly trying to force these worthless snaps into every other distro. It's a shame that people have allowed this to go on at all, let alone for so long. A company like Canonical is a testament to why Linux becoming more popular is a bad thing.
