Analysing and Visualising Environmental Data with Python and Matplotlib – Ep 3
Показать описание
This month in the Code Garden, Renee will join the Reactor's Green Tech focus for June! She'll be talking about working with data in Python, how to visualise it with Matplotlib in various ways, and how to use data science to part of the Green Tech movement!
In Week 1, we'll look at how to utilise different types of data files in Python and Jupyter Notebooks, and we'll see how using NumPy can make working with data easy!
In Week 2, you'll learn how to use Matplotlib with Python to visualise a variety of 3D charts and to modify them for your needs.
In Week 3, we'll look at more advanced Matplotlib plots, like 3D plots and combining different plotting options.
This Episode:
Digging Below the Surface - 3D graphing & combining visualisations in Matplotlib
In this episode we'll cover more complex way you can use Matplotlib to reveal information through data and visualisations.
We'll cover how to create 3D graphs, and how to combine different kinds of graphs to draw correlations between different bits of data.
Additional Resources:
Your Speaker:
Renee Noble is the Regional Cloud Advocate for the Sydney Reactor and the Australia region. She's passionate about technology, education, community, and bringing them all together in-person and online.
A self-proclaimed "Jane of all trades", Renee has worked in sectors across tech, outreach, and education. She's worked in ML and web development in the past, dabbles in embedded tech, and is always keen to learn more!
Renee is a passionate women in tech advocate, spending her spare time leading the Girls' Programming Network to support women and girls in tech. She also runs her own business, ConnectEd Code, working to bring exciting coding opportunities to kids and teachers. Beside teaching and tech she loves swing dancing, cats, and having a ridiculous number of plants.
