Emotions boil over at school board meeting's mask mandate vote

In a move that outraged many, the Rockridge School District voted to comply with IL Governor J.B. Pritzker's executive order requiring masks in schools.

It's actually no one's business nor decision except for the parents to decide for their own children what is best. Parents, time to vote the school board and governor out.

i wonder if the kids during ww1 or ww2 or the great depression or the spanish flu just wanted a normal school year. we are failing our young people. "life is good and sometimes it is bad, but we do what we need to survive." smh. i promise you this wont be the last pandemic, war, or catastrophic event in their lifetime. smh

These people are nuts, its just a mask these people have nothing better to do. Yeah your kids are healthy but what happens when that child bring it home to the parents and grandparents and don't go running the ER either, the health care is already in overload, just stay home with your mask off.

So just about every parent and even the students don’t masks mandated but they still vote to keep the mandate.. parents get ready for parenthood to get a lot harder because your opinion no longer matters!!

only thing that may work is have anti masker and antivaccine kids go to school seperatly from rest that want to be safe. have them see for them selfs what happens. pay the teacher hazard pay the ones willing to teach anti masker.

Okay, I understand people think the kids will be okay and survive covid but what about their parents, grandparents, sick/elder relatives? My husband has cystic fibrosis (it mostly affects his lungs, he’s been vaccinated but even then he can still get covid) and if our child got covid he would surly not make it. Does that make it still okay? Legitimate question..

Force masking children is psychological physical and spiritual abuse.... the only choice is to withdraw your kids and home educate. This is a horror show. And it’s all on the parents.
