It's not about "blow backs" its about the truth. Diminishing the truth for the sake of making him sound "Normal" is not what a journalist does.

The problem is Joe and mika went for a long time not talking to him even when we was president. What changed to make them want to talk to him now? And there was no pre-notice to their audience. And the fact that mika talks about it -to what remains of her audience - in a snarky way doesn’t help. It’s selling out your audience who’ve been loyal. Joe and mika have surrendered any credibility they had with this move.
