Would you consider this as a sound alternative if you were to cancel your splice membership? Being that you have to pay to continue using the samples through their standalone app. It seems like splices standalone app is no longer need since this is free and we could still drag our sounds into this and have them analyzed.

This is actually a great idea, why would you buy a whole sample pack, if you end up using only a couple of sounds, but this way you can preview every sound in a pack and only buy those you really need. At this point i wish they'll add some other labels pack to their cloud, and also the ability to search the store for pack names.
