APHELIOS will be REWORKED into a TRADITIONAL ADC - League of Legends. Riot Phreak announced that they want to change Aphelios from his current mage abilities burst long range playstyle, to a more traditional auto attack ADC style.

I'll have to grant the point to the mains, tbh. Given that each weapon has certain functionality and the limited number of bullets for each weapon, him being more ability-focused does seem to be a more clear champion identity. I can see why Phreak would think otherwise, though, as that's how Aphelios was originally released.

This blows. Why would they take the single most unique character in the ENTIRE game and make them into another copy past cookiecutter ADC like every other character in the roster.

the champion basically doesn't work as an auto attacker, he just isn't jinx. he doesn't have a "infinite range" button to auto you from longer ranges at all times or these ridiculous hyper-mobile kits like Zeri that make the champion basically unkillable if the player is good.

very simply put, either he gets dashes put into his kit or some weird mechanic to make his autos longer, or it just isn't gonna work.

I avoid playing Aphelios bc I dont like the ammo system and remembering which guns go well with each other. That being said, I think his unique style should be preserved for those who want to play that kind of champion.

riot simply should consult the players. as game designers, they need to remember that while yes they are building a game that they would want to play, you must always keep the players in mind because they are spending a lot more time in the game than the designer.

also, league is a very old game, it would be inappropriate to claim ownership over something like this, unless you built it originally

Aphelios is such a unique champion they way he is, He just lacks some mobility, I feel like giving him a ms buff after using his q for 0.5 - 1 sec, could be a nc change and gives Aphelios some survivability( kinda like Ahris W)
