Here I come again now, baby
Like a dog in heat
You can tell it's me by the clamor now, baby
I like to tear up the streets
Now I been smokin' for so long
You know I'm here to stay
Got you in a stranglehold, baby
You best get outta the way

The road I cruise is a bitch now, baby
But no, you can't turn me round
And if a house gets in my way, baby
You know I'll burn it down

You ran the night that you left me
You put me in my place
I got you in a stranglehold, baby
You better trust your fate

Yeah, sometimes you wanna get higher
And sometimes you gotta start low
Some people think they gonna die someday
I got news I've got to go

Come on, come on up
Come on, come on up
Come on, come on up
Come on, come on up
Come on, come on, come on, come on, baby
Come on, come on, come on, come on up
Come on, come on, come on, come on, baby
Come on, come on, come on

Road I cruise is a bitch now
You know you can't turn me round
And if a house gets in my way
You know I'll burn it down

You ran the night that you left me
You put me in my place
I got you in a stranglehold, baby
That night I crushed your face!

This is still one of the best classic rock songs of the 70s. This was one the bad ass eras for rock music. If I was a teenager growing up in the 1970s I probably be lighting a fat doobie listening to either an 8track or record with my headphones on

Good to see these great comments of memories. Im 60 and remember smokin weed, skippin school, spodies and the pool hall. This iconic song is one of the best hypnotic kick ass tunes of all time.

TED is a living myth. He teaches us with this song how blues rock has to be (and also psych from past ...). So fresh and true. Thank you Ted

Saw him at Soldiers Field Chicago. Summertime (hot)with four other acts/All day concert. Ted went on last evening and blew the house down…100, 00 people easy. Fantastic! He ended an encore with this. Talk about wild. I still remember that concert like it was yesterday. Good day to be alive and Rock!

I was a seventeen year old kid when this came out. Was working in Petersburg, AK. Took this album plus many others of this time down to the only radio station in town . The town came alive! So cool!

This is an often overlooked song. A straight to the point solo.
