Marvel's What If...? season 1 introduced the concept of Absolute Points, with Strange Supreme failing to save Christine Palmer over and over due to it being an event that was destined to happen. Now, Marvel's What If...? season 2 suggests that the Absolute Points can happen in different ways.

With What If...?'s Absolute Points starting to behave more like Spider-Verse's Canon Events, they can mean interesting things for the MCU. The concept could be used to explain tragic MCU recurring events, such as Tom Hiddleston's Loki always ending up alone, and allow the MCU to set some things in stone despite the franchise now having infinite potential to get creative through the multiverse. Perhaps Doctor Strange could always cause incursions like was shown in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, or other similar tragic Canon Events could appear. It remains to be seen what other possible Canon Events will reveal themselves during What If...? season 2.

Episode 7 was by far my favourite episode

The episode with Captain Carter when she got yanked by Wanda Merlin to 1602, it makes sense Wanda brought an alternate version of Steve Rogers to 1602 as well with Captain America: Civil War moment being mirrored with Captain Carter instead of Sharon Carter around the 11 second mark of this trailer. This feels like Secret Wars is coming for What If...Avengers Assembled in 1602. I also feel this Steve Rogers we see is going to be yanked moments before his fight with Thanos at the forest during Infinity War.

Glad they are adapting Marvel 1602. Been hoping they would and it makes sense for What If because The Watcher played a significant role in the 1602 comic and he has a special affinity for that timeline. Shame there probably will be no FF, X-Men or Daredevil in the episode

I'm guessing Steve damages the Time Stone because of those shields and it messes up the timeline. Makes more sense given the power stone increases the powers of the other stones.

Episode 7 Should have been called __How Hela became a Jedi, does every "what if" have a happy moral ending??, its interesting to note the MCU version of what if is exclusively limited on characters and stories compared to the vast comic book version
